Dumfries Community Choir is the biggest Vocal Ensemble in the South of Scotland and our open access approach means that absolutely anybody can take part.

With a five piece band of talented musicians – we have produced our own original work with, and put our own mark on some inspirational hits. We have even produced a Torch Song piece of theatre which told the story of our burning hearts against a soundtrack of love songs.

As well as being regulars on the local events circuit, they can often be seen performing at festivals such as Big Burns Supper, Eden Festival and Wickerman Festival. In 2013, they were invited by the First Minister to play at Edinburgh Castle.

The Choir is open to all – you do not need previous experience and we don’t audition – but that doesn’t mean we won’t work you hard! Sign up is much in demand so our choir members have to be committed to turning up and giving their all in rehearsal.

Performance Workshops take place once a week for 2 hours from at our Performance Hub in Dumfries.

Join Us!

The choir meet at Studio 1, The Theatre Royal, Dumfries from 7pm – 9pm on Tuesday night.
